MABI Patent vs Laser

MABI’s Extensive Expertise
As early as 1992, MABI unveiled its first laser cutting system at the Blech trade show in Essen. This technology never gained a foothold in the insulation industry. It is simply too expensive, too cumbersome, and requires too much maintenance. Ultimately, mechanical systems have prevailed in insulation technology due to their ecological and economic benefits. In addition, the safety precautions are very complex, and the urgently needed staff is often lacking in insulation workshops. Mechanical cutting systems offer many advantages here and are significantly less expensive to maintain. Advantage for customers: With mechanical cutting systems, our customers can perform many minor repair and maintenance tasks themselves. Although a few MABI 3000E EVO Laser machines were sold, it became apparent that customers who had purchased a MABI Laser later switched to mechanical systems.
